Quick Steps to Clean Re-Install the Stream Deck Plugin

Option A: Try the following steps (Standard procedure)

1. Deinstall the Plugin inside the Stream Deck Software
   
 
2. Close the Stream Deck Software on the Windows clock by right-clicking on the Icon
   
 
3. Open the following path C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\
   If the hidden folders are not visible you can copy the path here and paste your username and then paste the whole path into the explorer bar
 
4. Delete the com.vivremotion.PluginName.sdPlugin plugin folder (if available)
   Sometimes the uninstallation or update process of the Stream deck software cannot completely remove the plugin
 
5. If the plugin folder cannot be deleted, processes in the background still run. Open the Task Manager with CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and end all processes that have the same name as the *.exe files in the plugin folder.
   Then try to delete the plugin folder again
 
6. Add the Plugin folder C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\ as the *Exclude* of your antivirus software (The installed antivirus software should thus ignore the plugin folder)
   Some antivirus software incorrectly recognize some DLL and EXE files as virus and remove them
 
7. Start the Stream Deck Software as Administrator (if possible)
   Some plugins or functions contained in it only work if the stream deck software is executed as an administrator
 
8. Reinstall the Plugin from the Marketplace
 
9. Test the plugin again...

Option B: Plugin Eraser Tool

If Option A does not lead to success...

1. Try to delete the plugin via the  Plugin Eraser
   The Plugin Eraser helps to completely remove a Stream Deck plugin that can no longer be uninstalled.
 
2. Restart Windows after removing a plugin using the Plugin Eraser Tool
 
3. After restarting Windows, reopen the Plugin Eraser and check that the plugin is no longer listed.
 
4. Reinstall the Plugin from the Marketplace
 
5. Test the plugin again...
