System Vitals Monitor Plugin

Live Monitoring tool to track system vital metrics such as:

  • RAM/CPU/GPU ─ usage in percentage or throughput in GB/MB
  • LAN ─ Network traffic
  • PING ─ Google DNS 8.8.8.8 / Cloudflare DNS 1.1.1.1
  • PING ─ Individual Custom IP address
  • CPU ─ Core temperature
  • AIO ─ Liquid Water temperature
  • GPU (NVIDIA/AMD/INTEL) ─ Core temperature
  • GPU (NVIDIA) ─ VRAM usage
  • CPU/GPU ─ Watt Power consumption
  • HDD/SSD ─ Storage usage
  • Notebook ─ Battery Level
  • HDD/SSD ─ Drive I/O Speed
  • WiFi (WLAN) ─ Signal Strength
  • Master system audio volume
  • Logging to File Option (Benchmark/Performance Evaluation)

All values are displayed in real-time using smooth-flowing color charts in various styles (e.g., line graphs, matrix dots, patterns), similar to the performance graphs in the Windows Task Manager.

CAUTION!

Some events can only be read when the Stream Deck software is run with administrator privileges, as certain monitored values rely on data from Libre Hardware Monitor (WebServer) and the Nvidia NVML API.

The plugin needs the latest Version:
Microsoft Visual C++ x64 Redistributable
Microsoft Visual C++ x86 Redistributable

PERFECT...!!

This is a fantastic free app for Stream Deck users!

However, I ran into a small issue. I have all my system-vitals graphs grouped in one folder on my Stream Deck. Whenever I open that folder, I notice in Task Manager that the app's usage spikes to about 10% CPU and 500MB of RAM.

Interestingly, I solved the problem by reinstalling the Microsoft Visual C++ x64 and x86 Redistributables. I'm not sure why this worked, and I'm concerned it might only be a temporary solution.

If the developers see this, could you please comment on a more permanent solution for this high CPU and RAM usage?

(Note: The CPU usage only increased when the graphs were displayed, but the 500MB RAM usage was constant)

HWINFO? Goodbye for now. 하드웨어인포? 이제 굿바이.

It's so great to use with StreamDeck. It's been updated to version 1.5, so it's a bit more cumbersome to set up, but once you've set it up, it's much safer to use. Hardware Info is free, though you have to press it every hour! I love it.

Thank you very much for your feedback, the next version will get some performance optimizations

app start fail

Hello, I used the Libre software and set everything up as per the instructions, but then I closed the software and couldn't open it again to configure something again because I forgot an app. How do I open the software again? I think it's great otherwise, better than other software.

Hey Nicki Thanks for your feedback :) at the bottom right of the Windows clock is a small arrow up because you can see your applications that run in the background. This is exactly where you will find the Librhardware monitor, simply bring the foreground with a double click. VG

Eats up CPU

I've noticed using this that the longer System Vitals is running the more CPU it eats up. When I go to bed and leave everything on like normal, I'll come back to a high CPU temp & System Vitals eating about 15% of my CPU. I end task on system vitals and it comes back at about 0.6%, then it just keeps getting higher & higher until I need to end task on it again. Not work having if its going to eat your CPU. If there's a fix I'd love to hear it.

Hey Andrew we can partially confirm the problem, our team is currently working intensively on the CPU problem.

CPU Temp Issue

The plugin was working flawlessly until the last update (1.5). Today when i resumed my stream deck from sleep mode noticed that it was not displaying anything on the monitor keys. Checking the plugin section on my deck soft Sys Vitals was NOT showing (dissapeared), just missing. After a reinstall all started to work OK except CPU Temp (showing Monitor Error) so I asume they changed something on their end. Now is asking to install another software LHW and extra config, setting web server, have another program running on background, etc.

Not recommended anymore. Why change something that was perfect, I can´t understand it.

Hey Patrick, I understand your frustration – especially if everything seemed to be working fine on your end. However, to be fair, your experience with the old version was more the exception than the rule. For most users, version 1.4 caused major issues. Specifically, the driver was loaded internally and persistently through the plugin process, which often made it impossible to uninstall the plugin cleanly. The process would stay stuck in the system – a nightmare for both users and support. That's exactly why the architecture was completely overhauled in version 1.5. It still uses LibreHardware, but now through an external, standalone process, separate from the plugin. At first glance, that might seem more complicated – with the tray app, web server, and extra configuration – but technically it's a huge improvement: more stable, fully decoupled, properly uninstallable, and much more extensible. Another key benefit of this separation is flexibility: hardware monitoring now runs independently of the Stream Deck plugin. This makes the solution far more robust against future API changes from Elgato – and significantly more adaptable when it comes to supporting new sensors, hardware, or platforms. Updates can now be rolled out faster and more cleanly without touching the plugin core. In the long run, this brings much more stability, flexibility, and safety to all users. Sure, the transition may feel like a step back for some – but it was necessary to avoid the structural problems that plagued version 1.4.
